GABRIELSON  MOTORSPORTS

"Racing is life... Everything else is just waiting." Steve McQueen

Chris "Junior" Gabrielson with his undefeated Roush Racing-Dewalt Suzuki LT-80. Customized by Chris Sr.  Engine modifications completed by Westy Motorsports, Phoenix AZ. Junior has never been beaten since moving to this machine 9 moths ago. He's not stupid... he just races kids he's sure he can beat.

WE are the people our parents warned us about!

Matthew Gabrielson  At 7 years old, no matter where Matt goes he is always the youngest racer there.  However he consistently beats other riders several times older than he, and many adults too.  Matt is in 1st grade.  You've got to keep a very close eye on this boy.  I have very often told the rest of the family to "Wait here" while I tried some very difficult, semi tuff stretch of land on a 500cc machine (American made madness Polaris), just to look right behind me and see Matt right on my tail in one of his much less powerfull 80 cc two stoke Suzuki's. This boy either knows no fear or is really, really stupid. Just last week end he came bumper to bumper with a sand rail sporting a Chevy small block V-8. Matt wouldn't give an inch and made the Rail throw it in reverse and go around him.

Good Job RYAN NEWMAN on your DAYTONA 500 WIN!

One Champion meets another. Junior Gabrielson and his #17 DeWalt/Gabrielson Racing Suzuki ATV along side Matt Kenseth's #17 DeWalt/Roush Racing NASCAR Championship winning Ford Fusion. Kenseth won the NASCAR Championship in 2003. Seen here is the actual car that Kenseth raced at Daytona in 2006.

The Gabrielson Race shop. This three room facility in the backyard is dedicated to both week-end ATV/Motorcross racing, and the maintenance of the families classic car and British Jaguar Car collection which includes a "Rat Pack"Jag originally owned by Actor/Singer Dean Martin. And another owned by actor Charles Bronson.  Seen here is the Off road room, pretty much dedicated to ATVs and Dirt Bikes.

"Second place, is first looser!" Ricky Bobby

Custom 1979 Chevy Scottsdale C-10. One of a kind. In the 14 years that Chevy made this body style, they never came out with a SS (Super Sport) model of this truck which has always been a great dissapointment to many Chevrolet owners. So... screw Chevy, we made our own! It was a family summer project that even had Mom under the hood breaking nails and bruising knuckles. Complete with a 350 V-8 Corvette engine, Z-28 Muncie 26 4 speed, Holly Carb, Hooker Headers, Flowmaster pipes and every other aftermarket Go-Fast add on that we could think of. What was once an old farm truck, is now an 11 second quarter mile street legal drag racer that was featured on Cox Cables' channel 66 "Speed Channel".

UPDATE: Mila passed 110 mph in her Jaguar last week!

Matt hanging out with 2004 NASCAR Champion Kurt Busch at Phoenix International Raceway. The day after this picture was taken, Kurt Busch was fired from Roucsh racing. Kurt now Drives the number 2 "Miller Lite" car for Penskie Racing. Even though Kurt made over 4 million dollars in race prize money last year, it was nice that he still had time to show Matt and some other kids around the pits. Some kids like Teddy Bears, others like puppies. Matt feels right at home along side 200 mile per hour race cars.  He is an honor roll student and a fearless driver... at 6 years old!

Bomb Riding Matt finds that riding bombs on the wings of Air Force Fighter Planes to be excellent practice for motorcross racing. Seen here riding the wing of an F-4 Phantom at Davis Mothan Air Force Base in Tucson Arizona. Notice the one handed "Bull riding" form. And yes... that's a 1,000 pound Lazer Guided bomb just to Matt's right. What the heck... they can only kill you once.
